Are you kidding me!!!!

Brad finished the Beer Barrel Belly Bruiser

by himself in 4 hours 39 minutes,

beating the time limit by 21 minutes!!!

Brad is the first ever to complete this challenge!!

Brad came to Clearfield, Pa today to see if he could complete

the challenge,

this feat was well documented as he had an

employee of Denny's Beer Barrel Pub with him

at all times. Brad has competed in Wing,

Cannoli and Hot Dog eating and also tried to

qualify for Nathan's famous hot dog eating contests.

The total weight of Brad's Hamburger was 20.2 pounds!!!!!

2008 PA BEEF BACKER AWARD

BEDFORD, Pa (October 8, 2008) – After a long and mouthwatering selection process,

the PA Beef Council is pleased to announce the state winner of the 2008 Beef Backer Contest. 

To honor independent and chain foodservice operations, this prestigious award

program has recognized those who go the extra mile in menuing and marketing beef. 

Applicants from across the state submitted entries to showcase their innovation and

leadership in many areas including creative menu applications, utilizing new cuts,

coaching wait staff on beef, and effective communication programs.

              Denny’s Beer Barrel Pub, 1452 Woodland Road, Clearfield, won this year’s

contest and will receive an individual presentation, with an award plaque to display

in the restaurant; Denny’s Pub entry also will be submitted for national judging,

with National Beef Backer winners announced in

January 2009 at the beef industry annual convention. 

Opened in September 1977 by Denny & Jean Liegey, the restaurant is nationally

known for “The World’s Largest Hamburger Challenges,” as featured on the

Food Network, The Rachel Ray Show, The Travel Channel, The Tony Danza Show,

Good Morning America, Today Show, David Letterman’s Top 10, and

Country Fried Home Videos.   The restaurant also is a Guinness World Record

holder, capturing The World’s Largest Commercially Available Hamburger (123 pounds) on the Menu record. 

While the all-American burger claims the spotlight at Denny’s Pub,

the menu also includes favorites such as the T-Bone, Porterhouse, Ribeye, NY Strip and Prime Rib. 

“We take beef to an all new level – it’s included in most all of our

menu entrees, from subs to salads,” said owner Denny Liegey. 

“We’re more than just world famous burgers!”

Congratulations to Denny’s Beer Barrel Pub, and a special thank you to all entrants

for helping prove that Pennsylvania operators are inspired promoters of beef.

and made the trip from Burlington, Ontario(360 miles on motorcycles)

to try the 2 pounder, they gave it their best shot but came up a little short.

The group was wanting to come for years and finally decided the time was right.
